USA Violating Human Rights, Once Again

The United States. Lawsuit, courts, a justice system. Well, the United States has been considered long as a country with a justice system. The reality is different.
The pentagon has announced it will start the hearings of some detainees in Guantanamo to determine if they can be trailed as enemy combatants, thus depriving them of their rights (source: New York Times). No lawyers will be allowed in the procedure.
Enemy combatants are trailed in special courts and they don’t have the right to lawyers. The right to a lawyer is a basic necessity to a trial being fair and here the United States is violating human rights. Trials such are planned for those in Guantanamo Bay are more typical for countries like China or Russia than for the country pretending to stand for freedom (ie. the United States)
It is a pity that the Bush administration doesn’t seem to care about human rights and freedom. The worst thing is that Bush is limiting freedom in the name of freedom!

Typically, “enemies” are people out to harm innocent people, but Bush takes things to extremes, possibly from feelings of insecurity he’s had serving the country, especially in these times.. But humans aren’t ‘caged animals” and as a liberal i feel concerned about the apparent inequality of the legal system.

I belive that Bush did good considering what he had to deal with, and I hope Obama can do even better and turn this economy around

The MAJORITY of people who have strong opposing opinions about Bush (not to be offensive) but simply do not have hardly any background information about the government. The president, no matter Who, can not do anything without full support from Congress, which is made up of state senators and representatives that the people Also vote on.
So, before people start blaiming the Bush, they need to look more closely and learn more about how things work.

I am white and certainly not racsist, but voting on Obama Just because he is an African American just shows nothing more accept how immature, lazy and completely uneducated that this nation is made up of. People need to look at the issues and what a candidate stands for because The COLOR OF SOMEONES SKIN is NOT going to make the economy better…
