5 Ways to Stop Animal Testing

With over 100 million animals used every year in animal tests worldwide (estimation, source: Buav) here are 5 things that can be done to try to stop this cruel practice:
1. Stop buying products tested on animals
For most products there are many alternatives that have not been tested on animals. Check what is marked on the products that you buy or have a look at this list of products not tested on animals. By not buying cosmetics or household products tested on animals the sales of the companies that test on animals goes down. This way no money goes to supporting animal testing done by these companies.
2. Join an animal right organization
This is a way to both support campaigns against animal testing and also get information on animal rights. Find a local organization working for animal rights. Here are some: Peta (USA), BUAV (UK).
3. Sign a petition online
It’s easy and fast. Here is an example of a petition you can write your name on, but look for others as well.
4. Write to a company testing on animals
Even better, if you have the time write a polite letter to the chief of a company testing on animals. The chief himself or herself won’t probably read your letter, but a secretary will and it will be noticed especially if many do the same thing. Here is a website with contact details you can use.
5. Inform your friends about animal testing and alternatives
Inform your friends about animal testing and alternatives. Some won’t listen and will disagree, but others will. It’s really hard to convince someone who is already completely decided on a topic. But those not really sure about their opinions are much easier. Here is an example of a site with more information and arguments that can be used.

I am writing a research paper on animal testing and i am COMPLETELY against it. I have read and seen videos that are soo unbelieveable and it seriously brought tears to my friends and mine eyes. Animal testing is wayyy cruel and reallly needs to end. I’ve learned the Three R’s. and they should at least be recognized; if not a complete end to all animal testing; ::: REPLACE use of animals whenever possible REDUCE number of animals being oput under the tests and REFINE the procedures to cause less pain sufferiing discomfort and death to the animals. DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO STOP ANIMAL TESTING NOWW!!
It should only be exceptional in some medical disease cure research. That would be worth it. Cosmetics has already come far enough; there is no need to test other ingredients, and if there is felt a need, then dont do it on the animals!! 3 R’s all the way.

Animal testing on any animal rather it be a rat or a dog is wrong. You want to test, test it on people. We are over populated anyway. I dont understand people. Animals are just like us, only they cant talk. Would you let someone test on your baby? No, you wouldn’t. These animals cannot defend themselves, they cant sream for help and the fact people can do this with absolutly no remorse makes me sick. If they did this to people, the world would be in an uproar. Anyone have pets? Look at your dog and image him being held down and having things injected into his stomach to make sure its safe…sick f*cks. I think someone needs to stap those people down to a table, inject shit into their stomach, squirt some stuff in there eyes and then throw them in a kennel to die.

No animal should be tested on. There is no need to these days especially with our technology and understanding of animals mentally and physically. All animals do include RATS and the creatures some of us dislike. Kiersten K has a very hypocritical and naive view. Rats are delightful, intelligent, caring creatures.

Animal testing is ethically and scientifically wrong.
Ethically: It is nothing but human arrogance to claim the right of subjugating a less-powerful being to a life of torture. If any of these acts were performed on humans it would be a crime. The fact that it’s not a crime to do so for animals does tell something about how “civilized” we are. At least humans can volunteer for testing (and what a better use of tax dollars than to use death-row inmates!).
Scientifically: Except in very rare cases (which may have even been sheer coincidence), the results of animal tests have never been directly correlated to humans. No surprise, since we’re a completely different species. In fact, many pharmaceuticals that tested safe on animals caused serious health problems and/or death in humans. With decades of research and millions of dollars and animals, we are no closer to curing any of the major diseases, most of which are preventable. It is not scientifically sound to continue on a course that has proven to not yield results, or worse - incorrect results.
Besides, it’s just plain horrendous.

since i have started the research for my paper i have found out so much more about animal testing and it makes me cry
you have heard of the baby company Johnson and Johnson right?
well they do animal testing and i read an article i found and Johnson and Johnson have refused to stop and or reduce their animal testing.

also one more thing before i go
did you guys know that over half of the things being animal tested (like vaccines, medicines, etc) most of them dont even work on human beings, they work perfectly on animals but only hurt humans even more.
for example: i the 1960’s Thalidomide was released out of the German market, had been previously tested on THOUSANDS of animals. it was marketed as a wonderful sedative for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and it supposedly caused no harm to either mother or child. at least 10,000 children whose mothers had taken Thalidomide were born throughout the world with severe deformities.
now tht is not a coincidence… it really happened… and it still happens
so thyose who think animal testing is ok.

I think animal testing is so wrong. I have to do a project at school, and I’m doing it on Animal Testing. I had a pretty good idea about what people were doing to animals in those situations. I hate animal testing, because I’ve now realized that the only way to truly test products to make sure that it’s okay for humans to use, is for a human to be tested with it.
So, all of you people who think that animal testing is “right” or “okay”, you all are way wrong. That’s just my point of view.

Animal testing is bad but in some animals will become extinct if we keep testing products on them. Do we really want this? Do we really want all these animals die? How would you like it if you were held down and injected with numerous products or chemicals? What pride have you got to imprison, test and kill animals? Why suffer animals just for our benefit?
Testing animals could kill them. If you test animals and kill them, then the species of that animal may become extinct. We should treat animals like we treat other people.
Testing animals is mainly for our benefit, so we don’t suffer if a new product is corrosive or you are allergic to it. The products will be safer for humans to use.
Animal testing should stop. Human greed is overcoming people; soon it will only be humans living on Earth. Do we really want this?
Some tests lead to permanent injury or death. The toxicology of shampoo is testing on rabbits eyes and they are left there for days and then they are taken out and examined for results of the shampoo.
Animals have rights as well as humans. They should be treated equally. Humans are another species of animals and many of us won’t accept to be tested. So why do we do it to animals?
In WW11 people were held in captivity and tested on in Nazi Concentration Camps. These tests are considered immoral and completely unacceptable nowadays.

animal testing is wrong and people and animals r not the same so our makeup can be fine on us but really hurt other animals!! or the other way around so there is no point in it what so ever!!!!!

Animal testing is very wrong and inhumane.It kills 10 million animals a year which is 10% of animals.Animals are treated like they are not even creatures of God in that envirement.Animals are seperated form eachothe(even babies from their mothers) and often go cazy in their cold,baren cages. Animals are tested for pharmasudicals, cures, cosmetics,house hold products and more.They have things put in their stomach,on there skin, and shot in their eyes.Animals get terible deseases from these tests, and if they dont die, they are later euthanized.There are many other safe and more reliable ways to test products.These are just some of the heartwrenching facts.ANIMAL TESTING IS WRONG AND NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!!!
PS:All the dumb, heartless people who think animal testing is okay,think of yourself or someone you love in that kind of suffering,when there are more easy and effective ways.Then look up some pictures of these helpless animals.(I mean gosh, im 14 and im smarter than a lot of you.)
